Making your Vehicle Fuel Efficient, How Important It Is?

Today, the cost of fuel has become a cause for worry for a lot of people worldwide. This is the primary reason why devices or gadgets, additives and octane boosters have witnessed increased sales and patronage. After all, if you can save on gas or maximize its use to the fullest then you will not just save money on the long run, you would feel great as well because you know that you have not been cheated.

So what are the things that you could do to ensure that you do not waste any more money, that will help you save up for the rainy day or for a brand new computer etc.

Improving your Car's Perfomance

Here are some of the tips that will really help making your more vehicle fuel efficient;

1. Go On A Cruise Control

A 55 mph is necessary if you want to overcome the car’s aerodynamic drag. In case you do not know, if you drive faster your car will be dragging air and thereby reducing your speed. So if you want to save on gas it is always recommended that you drive normally and within speed limit.

2. Use The Gears Effectively

Driving is not just controlling the wheels and watching the road, it is also about knowing when to shift gears so it would help in making your vehicle fuel efficient. Keep in mind that when you are driving at 37 mph your gear should be in fifth gear rather than in third so that you can avoid burning 25% more of fuel.

3. Stay Neutral

If you are driving on a long road and there is no traffic light then you should go neutral. Using the cars natural speed especially if you are going down a hill or similar to it, can really save fuel. Just take note that you should only use this when there is no traffic because short drive is not really good for your car transmission.

4. Check Tires Regularly

A tire that is under inflated can drag your car and increase your fuel consumption, which means waste of money. Apart from this, it would also wear out your tire easily and so you will not just consume more fuel but slowly kill your tires than what is the normal procedure.

5. Keep Your Engine Tuned Up Regularly

The purpose of regular service maintenance is not just to check for your car engine parts but to ensure that everything is running smoothly and that parts like spark plug is still working efficiently, this is one the most effective ways in making your vehicle fuel efficient. The average fuel that will be burnt with a misfiring spark plug is about 30 percent and that is your money going down the drain.

It’s easier than you think to increase fuel efficiency

Your car is like your body – if you take care of it, it will take care of you.

Most people know it, but they don’t act like they know it. They put whatever fuel in their car that they feel like it, and rarely ever check to make sure that everything is running smoothly(something that can literally take just five minutes of your time to do).

Then when their car just decides to one day quit on them while they’re driving to an important meeting for work, or their wife is having a baby, they start to panic and get confused about why their car won’t start back up.

Well, it’s simple – you didn’t take care of your car, so your car isn’t going to take care of you.

So, how can you increase fuel efficiency for your car?

Easy – there are tons of simple and effective things that you can do today that will make you get much better mileage, increase the efficiency that your car uses fuel, and ensure that your car stays running happily and effectively for years to come.

First – pay attention to WHEN you buy your gas

You should try to get your gas when it’s cooler outside – preferably at night. The temperature affects the quality of your gas when you’re pumping it, and when you get gas at a cooler time of the day(normally around night time), the gas is thicker, and thus it will last longer and you will get better mileage out of it.

Second – Pay attention to WHAT kind of gas you put in your car

Getting higher quality gas can be more expensive. This is true. However, what’s also true is that the better the quality, the better it will run for you and the longer it will last – effectively giving you miles per gallon and in the end, actually saving you money rather than costing more as it initially seems.

Third – get yourself some fuel efficiency solution

This is something that most people don’t even know exists(let alone know the amazing benefits it will have over your overall car health)

Basically, what this does is make your gasoline last longer, run more smoothly, and it gets processed by your engine and its’ pumps a whole lot better – leaving a much cleaner exhaust as well as taking you a lot further than if you don’t happen to be using it.

At the end of the day, there’s not too much that you have to do if you want to get more mileage for your gas, and if you want to have your car run smoother and last longer. You just have to take care of it in the right way.

It’s that 1% of things that people don’t really do, that they should do (Kind of like eating healthy in most people’s cases) that makes all the difference in the world with their car.

5 Simple Ways to Improve Fuel Efficiency

Improving Fuel Efficiency

People often ask me how they can improve fuel efficiency for their cars, and I have no problem giving them advice about it. So, below are 5 things you can do, today, that will do just that.

1) Keep it steady

Driving on the highway is known to get you better mileage on your car, mainly because you’re driving at a steady speed, normally under 70 miles per hour. It’s kept this way, because, well, first of all, it’s a lot safer to drive at that speed, and second of all (this one is what most people don’t even consider), you get better fuel mileage under 70 MPH. The faster you go after 65 MPH, the more fuel your car will consume.

2) Learn to drive

Don’t suddenly slam on your breaks. That also makes you get really bad fuel mileage. Also, when you are driving, don’t slam down on the pedal. That initial burst is also horrible for getting good fuel mileage. It basically eats up fuel when you do that.

3) Get fuel at the right time

Getting fuel later on at night when it’s cooler outside is the best time to get as – it’s thicker then, and will also last longer and be a much better value for your money. Around 10 PM to 4 AM is generally when fuel is the thickest and the best times to buy it are then. Well, that is if you have a 24hrs service station around you.

4) The wind, the wind!

Watch the wind. If you’re driving against the wind, you’ll be driving very un-aerodynamically and you’ll also be using tons of fuel that you wouldn’t be using otherwise because of this. The wind will make your car have to work harder to get to the place that you’re trying to get to, so you’ll be having to spend more fuel to keep up

5) To truly improve fuel efficiency, use what the pro’s use.

There are a couple of great lubricants that Natureline Solutions produces for people who want to save cost, improve fuel efficiency while ensuring their cars perform maximally i.e.  Bitron Fuel Conditioner

Products that will literally ensure that your car gets the best treatment it can get. This is the same stuff the pro’s use. And by pros, I mean the guys that drive for a living. Race car drivers take care of their cars. Why? because it’s what they do. If their car has one little problem, then that can cause them a lot. They can’t afford to have anything go wrong – it could cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars, or worse – their life!

So, that’s five things you can do to improve fuel efficiency of your car. They’re simple, but that’s alright because they work. That’s all that really matters.

It is actually very confusing as to why people don’t do these things more often. It takes only a few minutes to keep your car running in tip top shape, yet, for some reason, people don’t want to spend that 5 minutes, despite it saving them money and time on the long run.
